Serge Neptune has been called ‘the little merman of British poetry’. He is a queer neuro-divergent poet based in London. He is also a mentor, producer, host, and Faber Academy alumnus. His poems appeared widely in magazines and anthologies, such as bath magg, The North, Propel, The Rialto, Queer Life Queer Love, Magma, Fourteen Poems, and elsewhere (for more info check the publications section)


Serge's work has placed in the National Poetry Competition and the Winchester Poetry Competition.

The poem Hello, This is God With His Wishlist can be found in a collective poetry video commissioned by the London Science Museum, along with poems by Lisa Kelly, Nadia Nadarajah and DL Williams. 


Serge read his work widely in support of major poets like Richard Scott and CA Conrad. Some of the venues where he performed include The National Poetry Library, The Torriano House, The Barbican, Above the Stag theatre (for Bold - queer poetry Soirée), and the Aldeburgh Poetry Festival. He has taken part in several online events like what we read now, Poetry Anxiety, and Babel live. Serge also chaired A Celebration of Queer Writing, a panel with Andrew McMillan, Mary Jean Chan, and Paul Mendez, at Cheltenham Literary Festival in 2021. He created Neptune's Glitter House for WayWard Poets in 2020 and hosted it until the Summer of 2021.


His first pamphlet is These Queer Merboys, published with Broken Sleep. A second poetry pamphlet, Mother Night, is forthcoming with the Emma Press.
